Sandesh Museum of Communication

Sandesh — the Museum of Communication is one of the few museums in the country built and curated by the postal department itself, making it a natural anchor point for any philately-themed trail through Bengaluru. Its galleries walk visitors through the story of Indian communication: hand runners and horse-drawn mail carts of the pre-telegraph era, the growth of the Railway Mail Service, the introduction of the postcard and the money order, and eventually telegraphy, telephony, and today’s speed post and e-commerce logistics network.
